My 12 Volts DC to 117 Volts AC Backup setup

I only use a Stat Power 250W.  This is large enough to run a television, drill or other small appliances.  any larger would just drain the battery faster.

The plug you see on the left worked out really nice.  I got them from a fork lift supply house.  The have a positive pin and a negative but you cannot get it backwards.  The nice thing is that they are exactly the same, there is no male or female but they will only plug one way.  Therefore you buy one plug for everything.  Because of this I have my booster cables,  booster ends, batteries, charger, and battery bank and generator all with the same plugs, and you can use them in any combination.  Its great!
