Dirt Bikes

This is another project, well I sold it, but hey, I bought a brand new 1999 Kawasaki KX250.  I will post some pictures soon.  Hopefully before it looks well used!  The picture below right is a monster cat-walk before I wiped.

My New KX250.  This bike is great.

Well the 1999 KX 250 is gone.  I traded for a THUMPER and its great.  At this point I only have 25 KM on it but man she goes.

I sold my bikes.  needed to change priorities while I build my home.  it sucks.  I think my next step is to buy a quad this time around.  I miss the bikes, and sport bikes, but hey, that is life.

The dude that bought my bike, sniff...Have fun you bastard.

OK, thought I would try a new thing - a QUAD

Honda TRX350 Manual Shift

July 2005, I bought this for a really good deal from our local Honda dealer in Lethbridge.  After some great thought, I decided to go with the smaller quad.  I was looking at a 700cc but those are really too big and heavy.  This little puppy has been a good design by Honda for so many years and they seem to last forever.  Also they go almost anywhere you want them, they sure crawl through anything, and you just don't use allot of fuel.

We will see how I like it over time... So far it seems to crawl through quite a bit!  It has such a low 1st gear that I don't think you can ever stall this unit.

This little 350 fourtrax is great, its light, and in low gear it will crawl anywhere!

Almost had to walk home one this one!  even with a winch, there just are times you cant find something to pull against!  you can see the tracks to the left going in, then I just sunk big-time!  backed it out, about 10 inches a minute.  took quite some time to find some ground.

You would think I would learn, earlier this same day, I got my truck stuck, then almost this.  that's not the worse thing, just before this, I took a picture of the last time I got stuck, and it took about an hour just to winch it out!  Below is the picture of the area, and in the swamp, I had to tie to the rock in the picture and drag the quad out.  The rock is lower rock, middle picture, and to the right, you can see the deep lines heading for the rock.

Every time it seems that I don't take my cell phone, I needed it!  is this not something like Murphy's law?
