My Huge Computer

Another shot with windows on display

Wireless mess on top

I might clean this up someday

I run with 720x480 for resolution, witch is the new HDTV format.  I do this with the DVI plug on the back of the TV.  I wrote my own drivers for the TV and the computer sees it as another monitor.  I do not use the RGB analog but rather true digital from my ATI 7000 Radeon video card, with a direct connection, regardless of the fact ATI and the TV manufacture says its impossible. IT IS POSSIBLE.  I figure that they say this for the simple reason of not having to baby sit people trying to set it up.

This is the computer that runs upstairs for my multimedia.  I just used all my junk to build it but painted it with an automotive finish.

I use this for all of our videos, recorded TV, music, and online browsing.  MSN is also on it with a web cam installed to chat to friends and family.

My cat likes to watch the mouse cursor, even if its not there, he will wait for it.

The mess on top with all the wireless stuff, I'll think about cleaning it up someday, maybe.

We have upgraded, and cleaned the mess up a bit.  Now my computer does everything, including receive satellite signals.  It works perfectly, and its nice to be able to pause a show, or record it on demand.

My bedroom, works very well with my network in my home.

All the equipment I add into my home works very well, they all are network compliant and I am able to access anything stored on the main server from any locations.  its great.  Oh, and I wasn't sure what to think of LCD TV's, but after owning the BenQ 32", lets just say, I wish I had a few more!

With this setup I also use the Dlink DSM-320 to watch movies if I dont want to use a computer dedicated to it.  With the Dlink you dont have to use thier software, and I find if I transcode the media, it can play any file compression that I have.
