NovAtel's RT-20, real-time kinematic DGPS receiver, delivers 1 meter performance at power-up, and after a matter of minutes, robust and reliable double differencing techniques provide real-time accuracies at the 20 centimeter or better level. Field testing has further demonstrated that real-time accuracies of a few centimeters can be achieved. This means accurate positioning on the move with low data latency.
This technology provides greater accuracy than pseudo range only systems, and is robust, easy to use and cost-effective. The primary advantage of RT-20 is that it fills the accuracy gap between
pseudo range positioning and fixed ambiguity carrier phase positioning, which generally requires a knowledgeable operator and often a more expensive dual frequency receiver. It also solves the data link latency problem associated with other carrier based systems on the market today.
