This is the unit that can be taken mobile, it has a battery supply capable of running the complete system for hours. We tried to balance the size of the unit with decisions such as how much battery life was to be expected.
The most drain on this system is when it TX's data back as that is the highest current draw, usually all data that is needed to be sent is when the unit is triggered, therefore sending only position back, but while we were testing we were sending quite a bit back every second and the system continued to run for almost a whole day at this rate.
It would probably last for days in normal use.
